ABOUT US

My name is Erika Marina Boyero Aristizabal (Schäfer) and Colombia gave me the gift of life on 1971.

I'm an air hostess, graduated from " Escuela Colombiana de Hotelería y Turismo of Bogotá. I worked for SAM (Sociedad Aeronaútica de Medellín) for 11 years, there was where my interest on travelling and getting to know the world from a different point of view showed up. I worked for many cruises around the world and I've had the chance to be in the most beautiful and wonderfull places on earth. Just after being in all those magnificent places I understood and recognized Latinoamericas' richness and diversity.

I've been in all the different countries in Latinamerica and I'm more interested and fascinated by its history, culture, music, folklore but specially by the kidness, friendliness, joy and affection of its people. Due to all this good reasons I had to share this feeling with German people, my second home, the country where I've lived since 1999.

Unfortunatly the only things people know about Latinamerica in Europe are: coffee, bananas, drugs, samba, poberty and some others. In Corazon Latino i want to show you at least when it comes to food, that we are much more than that, that we do have a immese culture. I would like you to be curious about this side of Latinamerica and transmit you our hapiness and joy. The name of the restaurant is dedicated to my wonderfull son,Mauro André Schäfer ,when I designed its logo, I placed Germany's flag right in the middle and on the sides Colombia and Argentina's flag (My father is Argentinian). My son has latin bloodon on his vein, when he listens to latin music he dances, his heart is latin although he looks like a German.

Hope your visit a this little spot of Latinamerica makes you feel as you were hanging out with a Latinoamerican friend of yours. Hope you my German or European friend would take a piece of our heart in yours.

My name is Samy Chacon Mena, Im from la Habana Cuba, Im 34 years old and I concidered myself a very happy, responsible person. I like dancing, spending time with my friends and working out.

In Cuba I was a basketball player, when I was playing I got the chance to study in order to become a cook. Ive always liked being in the kitchen, i like the way cooks dress and I thought it was really sexy!.

Once I arrived to Germany I started working in diferent kitchens but It changed when a nice person who has given me the oportunity to show her all my knowledge about Latinoamerican food showed up. I'm really greatfull (by the way she is a really pretty woman). Her name is Erika schäfer, she is the master brain behind the happiest restaurants in Stuttgart.

I think I'm one of the luckiest man in the world because she has given me the oportunity to make a dream come true: cooking my continet food and at the same time showing the world the real identity and culinary traditions of Latinamerican countries. I am really proud of being part of this restaurat.
